About Jacob W

             I'm Jacob from Willow Glen High School and I live in San Jose, California. I am working on this Story of the Seed Project. I have never gardened before and I look forward to it.  My grandma gardens lemons, flowers, and other stuff. I like ice cream on summer evenings, and my favorite fruit is cherries. My favorite vegetable is carrots. I look froward to watching these plants grow and develop.

     My name is Jenny, and I am one of the creators of this blog. I enjoy gardening because of my family. My entire family loves to garden and to visit farms to pick farm-fresh fruits and veggies. I was born in San Jose and have lived here my whole life. I enjoy anything that has to do with nature, including running, hiking, and camping. I am a freshman who goes to Willow Glen High School and I am on the JV field hockey team. I want to attend Stanford University and receive my masters degree in architectural engineering. I look forward to finishing this project with my team.

       My name is Sayra and I am one of the authors of this blog. I was born in San Jose, California and currently attend Willow Glen High School. Personally, I don't know a lot about planting and I have not done it often. Back in my early years of Elementary School every single class had to help out in the garden. I remember planting tomatoes and watermelons. We would always water the plants and take care of the dirt. During that time I learned a bit more about plants. To this day I haven't actually planted anything but I am curious to see what will happen with what we are doing in Mr. Bursch's class.

       My name is Anika Bailey and I was born in North Carolina. I moved to California last summer. Most of my family lives in California so I'm a lot closer to them now. When I lived in North Carolina my family grew tomatoes and peppers and had a solarium full of trees and bushes. In California we have a grapefruit tree, a lemon tree, and a lime tree. In North Carolina I would sometimes help water the plants but mainly my dad took care of the gardening. Zeeshan is a close friend of mine that goes to WGHS and really inspires me. Right now he is work with his friends to grow a date tree. Zeeshan knows a lot about soil and how to cultivate plants. I'm looking forward to seeing what the results of our experiment are and if our hypothesis was true.
